Emmerdale was back above the 7m mark on Wednesday evening as Chas and John's storyline continued.
Emmerdale grabbed 7.27m (33.1%) at 7pm and 127k (0.5%) on ITV1+1 as Chas played hard to get by encouraging John to ask her out properly.
Hollyoaks, meanwhile, pulled in 1.06m (5.1%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 120k (0.6%) on +1 as Deena stepped in to 'help' George and Phoebe. The next developments in the story then brought 579k (2.6%) to E4's first look at 7pm and 126k (0.5%) to the timeshift screening.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours attracted 685k (9.2%) at 1.45pm and 1.18m (6.9%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away took 798k (4.1%) at 6pm and 554k (2.6%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors - titled 'Where The Heart Is' - was seen by 1.67m (22.6%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
