Emmerdale stayed above the 7m mark on Wednesday evening as Rodney issued an ultimatum to Carl, overnight figures show.
Emmerdale pulled in 7.28m (33.8%) at 7pm and 137k (0.6%) on ITV1+1 as Rodney demanded cash from Carl in return for his silence over the road accident.
Hollyoaks, meanwhile, attracted 1.05m (5.0%) on Channel 4 at 6.30pm as Callum struggled to keep quiet over George's sad secret. E4's first look then appealed to 528k (2.5%) at 7pm and 127k (0.6%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours secured 709k (9.0%) at 1.45pm and 1.07m (6.3%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 827k (4.2%) at 6pm and 558k (2.7%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors - titled 'Tales of the Rather Expected' - entertained 1.63m (20.8%) on BBC One at 1.45pm.
