Emmerdale enjoyed strong ratings on Thursday evening as Cain's attacker was revealed, overnight figures show.
Emmerdale pulled in 8.02m (34.4%) at 7pm and 113k (0.4%) on +1 as Zak paid a visit to Cain following Aaron's angry outburst. The second episode of the double bill, which saw Zak's guilt confirmed, took 8.62m (33.6%) at 8pm and 237k (0.9%) on timeshift.
EastEnders stayed on top as the most-watched soap of the day, attracting 9.65m (39.7%) at 7.30pm as Denise reported Phil to the police. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 718k (3.4%) at 10pm.
Coronation Street, meanwhile, interested 8.82m (33.6%) at 8.30pm and 301k (1.2%) on ITV1+1 as Sally responded to Frank's advances.
Hollyoaks managed 1.02m (4.7%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4, before E4's first look appealed to 585k (2.5%) at 7pm and 135k (0.5%) on +1.
Elsewhere, Julia's latest setback was witnessed by 1.71m (22.2%) on Doctors at 1.45pm.
