Hollyoaks' first look screening continued to enjoy a ratings boost last night as fans tuned in for the aftermath of Silas Blissett's latest murder, overnight figures show.
Hollyoaks pulled in 836k (3.9%) at 7pm on E4 as the shock death of Heidi Costello rocked the village. A further 165k (0.7%) watched on timeshift, taking the first look to the 1m mark.
Earlier, 1.24m (6.0%) tuned in for Hollyoaks at 6.30pm on Channel 4 to see Silas commit his latest terrifying act. Channel 4+1's screening added a further 136k (0.6%).
Coronation Street was the most-watched soap of the day, appealing to 8.88m (39.2%) at 7.30pm and 9.16m (36.4%) at 8.30pm as Fiz was sentenced to a long stint in jail. The second episode of the double bill had 160k (0.6%) on timeshift.
EastEnders interested 8.07m (33.1%) at 8pm and 648k (3.2%) for BBC Three's repeat as Amira and Christian had a showdown over Yasmin, while Emmerdale secured 6.87m (32.3%) at 7pm as Debbie vowed to have another baby with Andy.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 668k (8.5%) at 1.45pm and 1.29m (8.1%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 904k (4.8%) at 6pm. 5*'s first look at the Summer Bay soap was seen by 512k (2.5%) at 6.30pm.
Meanwhile, the latest episode of BBC One's Doctors - titled 'This Monstrous and Unnatural Woman' - attracted 1.68m (21.7%) at 1.45pm.
