Ratings: 'EastEnders' attracts 7.9m for Tyler's fight drama

EastEnders came close to 8m viewers on Tuesday evening with Tyler's dramatic fight, the latest audience data has revealed.



The BBC One soap was seen by 7.91m (36.7%) from 7.30pm, as Tyler's big boxing match went horribly wrong. The repeat screening fetched 889k (4.6%) on BBC Three from 10pm.

Also on BBC One, Holby City grabbed 4.9m (21.4%) in the 8pm hour for the episode 'Night Cover', featuring Dan making a big decision about his future with Chrissie.

Emmerdale averaged 6.55m (32.7%) for ITV1 from 7pm and 117k (0.5%) on +1, as Andy decided that Sarah needed to be his main focus due to her illness.

Elsewhere, Hollyoaks appealed to 1.07m (5.7%) on Channel 4 from 6.30pm, before E4's first look at the next episode mustered 531k (2.6%) from 7pm and 122k (0.5%) on +1.

Earlier in the day, Doctors entertained 1.63m (22.8%) on BBC One from 1.45pm, while Neighbours had 742k (10.2%) on Channel 5. The Aussie drama's repeat screening was watched by 1.05m (7.2%) from 5.30pm.

Home And Away managed 778k (4.5%) on Channel 4 from 6.30pm, before 5*'s first look at the next episode pulled in 395k (2.1%).
