Coronation Street topped the soap ratings again on Friday night (September 4), as Simon caused yet more problems for Leanne.
6.19m (33.1%) tuned in to ITV at 7.30pm as the troubled teen knocked his stepmum unconscious during a heated argument (+1: 206k). The 8.30pm episode - where Leanne confided in Zeedan about Simon's abusive behaviour - was seen by 6.33m (29.8%, +1: 209k).
An audience of 5.36m (31.5%) watched Emmerdale at 7pm, as Harriet and Brenda finally stumbled across Carly (+1: 188k).
Over on BBC One, EastEnders was seen by 5.62m (28.9%) at 8pm, as a furious Shirley confronted Aunt Babe about her dark secret. 277k (1.6%) tuned in for the late night repeat at 10pm on BBC Three.
Over on Channel 4, Hollyoaks aired to 687k (4.3%) at 6.30pm, with tensions rising across the village as Dylan's loved ones continued to mourn his loss. E4's first look was seen by 506k (3%) at 7pm, as Jason suffered a health scare and Lindsey revealed a chilling secret from her past to Kim.
Channel 5's Home and Away attracted 200k (2.9%) at 1.15pm and 510k (3.5%) at 6pm, as Charlotte was left floored by Matt's threats. 5*'s first-look episode - featuring drama for Leah - was seen by 323k (2%) at 6.30pm.
Meanwhile Neighbours aired to 671k (10%) at 1.45pm and 603k (4.8%) at 5.30pm, as Terese pushed Brad even further away.
