Coronation Street was Wednesday's most-watched programme (May 20) with Steve McDonald's disastrous stag night, overnight figures show.
6.17m (33.7%) tuned in at 7.30pm on ITV and 232k (1.1%) on +1 as Steve bailed out of his own celebrations, leaving his friends to face a far-from-successful evening in Liverpool.
Emmerdale continued with 5.41m (32.3%) at 7pm on ITV and 197k (1.0%) on +1 as Laurel stooped to new lows to get a drink.
Hollyoaks appealed to 826k (5.3%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Patrick forced Darren to lie at the custody hearing, while the fallout brought 599k (3.6%) to E4's first look at 7pm and 137k (0.7%) to E4+1.
Doctors claimed 1.38m (22.6%) at 1.45pm on BBC One with an episode centring around Rob and Karen.
Paige's ongoing troubles in Neighbours were seen by 627k (10.2%) at 1.45pm and 644k (5.2%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5.
