Sarah, Callum plot brings in 7.3m on Coronation Street

Coronation Street topped the soap ratings on Monday evening (April 13) with Callum and Sarah's secret passion, overnight figures show.

Corrie was the most-watched programme of the day, attracting 7.3m (36.8%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 145k (0.6%) on +1 as Callum made another play for Sarah. 6.77m (30.2%) returned at 8.30pm and 182k (0.8%) on +1 as Sarah came close to being caught out after giving into temptation with Callum.

EastEnders brought in 6.61m (29.6%) at 8pm on BBC One with the aftermath of Stan's death, while BBC Three's repeat screening secured 451k (3.3%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale interested 6.12m (33.1%) at 7pm on ITV and 123k (0.6%) on +1 as Chrissie continued to worry over Lachlan's lack of remorse.

Hollyoaks achieved its highest rating since January as Porsche's dark secret was revealed to 1.03m (6.0%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 125k (0.6%) on +1. E4's first look followed with 546k (2.9%) at 7pm and 145k (0.7%) on +1.

Neighbours entertained 632k (9.6%) at 1.45pm and 810k (6.2%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Georgia was suspended thanks to Nick's scheming.

Home and Away managed 137k (2.0%) at 1.15pm and 660k (4.3%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 379k (2.2%) at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, Doctors returned following its two-week break with 1.2m (18.4%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
