Corrie Windass dramas continue with 6.4m on Friday night

Coronation Street was Friday evening's top-rated programme (April 10) with Anna and Owen's relationship breakdown, overnight figures show.

6.42m (34.8%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and 155k (0.7%) on +1 as Faye revealed her true feelings about the baby situation, while 6.04m (27.5%) returned at 8.30pm and 198k (1.0%) on +1 to see Anna and Owen hit the rocks as the Faye drama proved to be the final straw for them.

EastEnders attracted 6.16m (30.5%) at 8pm on BBC One as Stan Carter passed away in an emotional episode. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 281k (2.2%) at the slightly later time of 10.45pm.

Emmerdale continued with 5.31m (31.2%) at 7pm on ITV and 116k (0.6%) on +1 as Jacob trashed Home Farm in an act of revenge against Lachlan.

Hollyoaks interested 644k (4.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Porsche's dark new storyline began, while E4's first look followed with 465k (2.7%) at 7pm and 101k (0.5%) on +1.

Neighbours claimed 591k (10.1%) at 1.45pm and 616k (5.1%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Chris Pappas said his goodbyes to Ramsay Street.

Home and Away entertained 224k (3.9%) at 1.15pm and 550k (4.0%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 402k (2.6%) at 6.30pm.
