EastEnders topped the soap ratings on Thursday evening (February 26) but was dented by its latest clash with Emmerdale, overnight figures show.
The Walford drama, which aired against its ITV rival for 15 minutes, fell to 6.15m (27.9%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Sharon decided to visit her mother. 530k (4.0%) caught up with BBC Three's repeat screening at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale also had a poor night due to its early start in the schedule, dropping to 5.33m (25.9%) at 6.45pm on ITV and 307k (1.5%) on +1 as Alicia was sexually assaulted by Lachlan in a powerful hour-long episode.
During the 15-minute clash period itself from 7.30pm, Emmerdale was ahead with 5.53m (24.6%) compared to 5.4m (24.1%) for EastEnders.
Hollyoaks attracted 809k (4.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 145k (0.7%) on +1 as Tom and Peri went for a baby scan together. E4's first look followed with 687k (3.4%) at 7pm and 159k (0.8%) on +1.
Neighbours entertained 722k (10.0%) at 1.45pm and 797k (5.4%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Kyle revealed his parenthood ambitions to Georgia.
Home and Away grabbed 223k (3.1%) at 1.15pm and 633k (3.7%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 396k (2.1%) at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, Doctors was seen by 1.67m (23.4%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
