Coronation Street topped the soap ratings on Friday evening (January 30) with Steve's ongoing troubles, overnight figures show.
Corrie was the most-watched programme of the day, claiming 7.59m (35.7%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 147k (0.7%) on +1, as Chesney angrily confronted Steve over the mini-bus crash. 7.42m (32.8%) returned at 8.30pm and 129k (0.6%) on +1 as Steve had his first therapy session.
EastEnders brought in 6.81m (31.2%) at 8pm on BBC One as Shabnam revealed who the father of her baby was in a shock twist. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 281k (1.8%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale attracted 6.35m (32.0%) at 7pm on ITV and 118k (0.5%) on +1 as Robert issued another threat to Katie.
Hollyoaks managed 865k (4.4%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with Nancy's guilt over the painkiller scandal at school, while E4's first look topped the day's multichannel ratings with 630k (3.2%) at 7pm.
Neighbours entertained 726k (9.7%) at 1.45pm and 777k (4.9%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Daniel decided to keep his distance from Imogen.
Home and Away appealed to 210k (2.8%) at 1.15pm and 648k (3.5%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 406k (2.1%) at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, Doctors was seen by 1.54m (20.7%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
