EastEnders topped the soap ratings on Tuesday evening (January 27) with another difficult day for Max Branning, overnight figures show.
The Walford drama was the most-watched programme of the day, bringing in 7.21m (33.4%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Max's heartbreak on the day of Emma's funeral led to him continuing his vendetta against Phil.
After the episode, 531k (2.5%) tuned in for EastEnders: 30 Years of Cliffhangers at 8pm on BBC Three, while the digital station's usual EastEnders repeat screening secured 419k (2.9%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale attracted 6.34m (31.2%) at 7pm on ITV and 216k (1.0%) on +1 as Jai and Megan hit the rocks following the Fake Archie scandal.
Holby City appealed to 4.62m (21.4%) at 8pm on BBC One with a shock for Sacha.
Hollyoaks entertained 1.02m (5.3%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 140k (0.7%) on +1 as Freddie continued to be set up, while E4's first look followed with 640k (3.1%) at 7pm and 184k (0.9%) on +1.
Neighbours interested 574k (7.9%) at 1.45pm and 881k (5.6%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 with the latest struggles for Sonya.
Home and Away claimed 236k (3.1%) at 1.15pm and 730k (4.1%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 450k (2.3%) at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, Doctors continued with 1.66m (23.0%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
