EastEnders Cotton storyline brings in 7.7m on Tuesday

EastEnders continued to perform well with the Cotton family's dramas on Tuesday evening (January 13), overnight figures show.

The Walford soap was the most-watched programme of the day, attracting 7.72m (36.4%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Charlie and Dot were horrified by the truth behind the recent car crash. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 317k (2.4%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale also had a good night, bringing in its highest figure since November 10 as Emma's reunion with Ross, Pete and James was seen by 6.73m (32.6%) at 7pm on ITV and 131k (0.6%) on +1.

Holby City interested 5.02m (23.8%) at 8pm on BBC One as Jac was offered an opportunity to work in the US.

Hollyoaks appealed to 1.07m (5.5%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Robbie's new job working for Trevor led to trouble, while E4's first look followed with 705k (3.4%) at 7pm and 154k (0.7%) on +1.

Neighbours entertained 579k (7.8%) at 1.45pm and 880k (5.7%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Karl became suspicious over Brad.

Home and Away claimed 197k (2.6%) at 1.15pm and 632k (3.5%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look had 484k (2.5%) at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, Doctors continued with 1.66m (22.3%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
