Coronation Street topped the soap ratings with its hour-long episode on Wednesday evening (December 3), overnight figures show.



7.22m (33.8%) tuned in at 7.30pm on ITV and 157k (0.7%) on +1 as Tracy took revenge against Carla by causing destruction at Underworld.

Emmerdale attracted 6.11m (31.4%) at 7pm on ITV as Cain blackmailed Rakesh.

Facing tough competition from Corrie and I'm A Celebrity, Waterloo Road dipped to 2.05m (9.0%) at 8pm on BBC One as Justin desperately tried to keep his relationship with Tiffany going.

Hollyoaks interested 967k (5.1%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Dodger made a scene during Maxine's trial, while E4's first look topped the day's multichannel ratings with 819k (4.2%) at 7pm and 144k (0.6%) on +1.

Neighbours claimed 590k (8.5%) at 1.45pm and 860k (5.3%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Terese's old flame Ezra made an appearance in Erinsborough.

Home and Away managed 247k (3.5%) at 1.15pm and 638k (3.6%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look followed with 400k (2.1%) at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, Doctors continued with 1.29m (18.6%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
