6.6m see Shirley's return to EastEnders on Tuesday

EastEnders was Tuesday evening's most-watched soap (November 18) as Shirley Carter made her return to screens, overnight figures show.

6.58m (30.3%) tuned in at 7.30pm on BBC One as Mick and Dean finally managed to track down Shirley, who was secretly spending time with a mystery man.

Emmerdale attracted 6.36m (31.6%) at 7pm on ITV as Pete was shocked by a visit from the police.

Airing against ITV's coverage of the Scotland vs England game, Holby City interested 4.1m (17.1%) at 8pm on BBC One with another emotional episode for Serena.

Hollyoaks managed 974k (5.0%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Patrick successfully covered his tracks once again, while E4's first look secured 779k (3.9%) at 7pm and 205k (0.9%) on +1.

Neighbours appealed to 701k (10.4%) at 1.45pm and 879k (5.6%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5 as Amber remained suspicious of Rain.

Casey's funeral in Home and Away brought in 297k (4.1%) at 1.15pm and 665k (3.6%) at 6pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s first look followed with 467k (2.4%) at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, Doctors continued with 1.49m (22.0%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
