Coronation Street was Friday's top-rated soap (May 9) with the latest Windass-Armstrong drama, overnight figures show.
7.04m (35.9%) tuned in at 7.30pm on ITV and 179k (0.8%) on +1 as Izzy struggled with her guilt over the stolen charity money, but the audience dipped to 6.3m (27.6%) at 8.30pm and 204k (1.0%) on +1 as Izzy was forced to confess to her shameful act, shocking her workmates and family.
EastEnders beat the second Corrie episode, bringing in 6.68m (31.7%) at 8pm on BBC One as Dot realised that Charlie Cotton may be a fraud. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 281k (1.9%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale interested 5.41m (31.2%) at 7pm on ITV as James planned a DNA test, adding 196k (0.9%) on +1.
Hollyoaks managed 733k (4.7%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with Grace's attempts to get the truth out of Ste, while E4's first look was the most-watched multichannel programme of the day with 650k (3.7%) at 7pm and 110k (0.5%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, the conclusion to the Neighbours hostage drama was witnessed by 630k (9.5%) at 1.45pm and 678k (5.4%) at 5.30pm.
Elsewhere, BBC One's Doctors was seen by 1.33m (20.3%) at 1.45pm.
