EastEnders continued to perform well on Thursday evening (April 24) as the Beale family grieved for Lucy, overnight figures show.
The Walford soap pulled in 7.5m (37.4%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as the police began to question Lucy's loved ones in a special episode set almost entirely inside the Beale house. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 440k (3.1%) at 10.30pm.
The Lucy storyline continued to boost EastEnders as the show had its best Thursday rating since February 6 and its second-highest audience share of the year.
Elsewhere, Emmerdale appealed to 5.85m (32.6%) at 7pm on ITV and 133k (0.6%) on +1 as Cain gave Belle one last ultimatum before her court hearing. 5.74m (26.4%) returned at 8pm and 167k (0.8%) on +1 as Belle pleaded not guilty to Gemma's murder.
Hollyoaks interested 972k (5.9%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Tegan was arrested for Fraser's murder, while E4's first look followed with 717k (4.0%) at 7pm.
Neighbours secured 637k (10.9%) at 1.45pm and 752k (6.0%) at 5.30pm on Channel 5, while 5*'s repeat had 140k (0.9%) at 6pm.
Home and Away mustered 260k (4.2%) at 1.15pm, 507k (3.4%) at 6pm and 321k (1.9%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
