Coronation Street's Tina-centric double bill gave the soap its best Friday ratings in a month last night (April 4), overnight figures show.
The Weatherfield drama pulled in 7.65m (39.6%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 206k (0.9%) on +1 as Tina took a pregnancy test to find out whether she was expecting Peter's baby, while 7.16m (32.5%) returned at 8.30pm and 350k (1.7%) on +1 as the result was revealed to be negative.
Corrie's 7.30pm rating was its highest Friday figure since March 7. Last night was also the first time since February 28 that the Friday 8.30pm showing has been above the 7 million mark.
EastEnders attracted 6.2m (30.2%) at 8pm on BBC One as Lee Carter made his first appearance. BBC Three did not air a repeat screening, but the EastEnders Omnibus averaged 415k (9.9%) from 11.55pm on BBC One.
Emmerdale appealed to 6.02m (34.4%) at 7pm on ITV as Ian made a return visit to see Val, adding 169k (0.8%) on +1.
Hollyoaks managed 730k (4.4%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as John Paul confessed to his affair when Sam paid him a visit in prison, while E4's first look topped the day's multichannel ratings with 624k (3.6%) at 7pm and 106k (0.5%) on +1.
Neighbours entertained 561k (8.7%) at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 822k (6.0%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away grabbed 201k (3.0%) at 1.15pm, 505k (3.3%) at 6pm and 364k (2.2%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors had 1.3m (20.1%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
