Coronation Street was Monday's most-watched soap (March 17) with Maria's shock discovery, overnight figures show.
8.21m (38.2%) tuned in at 7.30pm on ITV and 131k (0.6%) on +1 as Todd set a trap for Marcus by seducing him at the showhouse. 8.11m (34.3%) returned at 8.30pm and 174k (0.8%) on +1 as Maria caught Todd and Marcus in a compromising position.
EastEnders attracted 7.14m (31.3%) at 8pm on BBC One as Stacey and Max shared a passionate kiss. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 174k (7.9%) at the later time of 1.05am.
Emmerdale interested 6.82m (33.6%) at 7pm on ITV and 116k (0.5%) on +1 as Belle's storyline continued.
Hollyoaks appealed to 987k (5.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with the return of Fraser's enemy Ray, while E4's first look followed with 702k (3.5%) at 7pm and 123k (0.5%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours had its highest lunchtime and teatime rating of the month so far with 671k (10.0%) at 1.45pm and 890k (6.0%) at 5.30pm. Home and Away entertained 198k (2.9%) at 1.15pm, 700k (4.0%) at 6pm and 542k (2.9%) with 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.62m (24.6%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
