Coronation Street topped Friday's soap ratings...

Coronation Street was Friday's top-rated soap (March 7) as Tina and Peter's affair dramas continued, overnight figures show.

7.65m (37.3%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and 129k (0.6%) on +1 as Tina became upset over Peter's treatment of her. However, the evening's second visit to Weatherfield proved less popular as 6.88m (31.0%) saw Tina decide to end things with Peter at 8.30pm and 177k (0.8%) on +1.

EastEnders pulled in 6.62m (31.2%) at 8pm on BBC One with the conclusion to a dramatic day for Carol's family and the Mitchells. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 311k (2.3%) at the slightly later time of 10.40pm.

Emmerdale attracted 6.39m (32.9%) at 7pm on ITV and 127k (0.6%) on +1 as Belle continued to struggle with her guilt over Gemma's death.

Hollyoaks dipped to 635k (3.4%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with the fallout from Grace exposing Fraser's secret. E4's first look had higher figures, topping the day's multichannel ratings with 676k (3.5%) at 7pm and 137k (0.6%) on +1.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 613k (9.9%) at 1.45pm and 786k (5.4%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 262k (4.0%) at 1.15pm, 620k (3.7%) at 6pm and 445k (2.4%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.28m (20.8%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
