Coronation Street remained above the 8 million mark on Wednesday evening (February 5) as the Windass family's new storyline continued, overnight figures show.
The Weatherfield soap enjoyed its best Wednesday performance of the year so far as 8.36m (37.2%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and a strong 379k (1.7%) on +1 for Anna and Owen's troubles with Phelan.
Emmerdale attracted 6.87m (32.5%) at 7pm on ITV and 249k (1.1%) on +1 as Charity and Declan made a deal for their future.
Waterloo Road continued with 3.2m (14.3%) at 8pm on BBC One as the school's resilience camp went wrong thanks to Hector and Gabriella.
Hollyoaks interested 1.14m (5.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as John Paul had another unpleasant encounter with Finn, while E4's first look topped the multichannel ratings with 796k (3.8%) at 7pm and 176k (0.8%) on +1.
On Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 718k (9.1%) at 1.45pm and 826k (4.9%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 260k (3.1%) at 1.15pm, 580k (3.1%) at 6pm and 445k (2.2%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, BBC One's Doctors put in another strong performance with 1.78m (22.7%) at 1.45pm.
