Hollyoaks was the most-watched show on the multichannels on Thursday, according to overnight data.
The soap's main Channel 4 episode - which saw Finn rape John Paul - attracted 1.18 million (5.7%) at 6.30pm.
E4's first-look episode showing the aftermath of the rape brought in 974,000 (4.5%) at 7pm (131k/0.6% on +1), which was the highest first look rating since Brendan Brady's exit last March.
EastEnders topped the soap ratings overall with 7.33m (32.7%) at 7.30pm as Fatboy and Denise's passion was reignited.
On ITV, Emmerdale appealed to 6.69m (30.7%) at 7pm (92k/0.4%), when Alicia discovered that her sister Leyla is working as a stripper.
It jumped to 6.91m (29.7%) at 8pm (133k/0.5%) as Leyla and Alicia were arrested in a mix-up.
Earlier, BBC One's Doctors gathered 1.56m (22.3%) at 1.45pm.
On Channel 5, Neighbours brought in 756k (10.7%) at 1.45pm and 752k (4.6%) at 5.30pm.
