EastEnders was the most-watched soap on Boxing Day, overnight figures show.
7.22m (31.3%) watched at 7.15pm on BBC One as Phil was shocked to learn that he had sold the Queen Vic to Shirley's brother. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 592k (3.4%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale attracted 5.08m (23.0%) at 6.15pm on ITV and 283k (1.2%) on +1 as a fire raged at Home Farm following Declan's drastic decision.
Hollyoaks managed 555k (3.0%) at 5.35pm on Channel 4 as Sinead tried to expose Freddie's secret on Christmas Day in the village.
Afterwards, E4's first look airing of Hollyoaks brought in 309k (1.5%) at 6.05pm. A second first look screening also followed with 309k (1.4%) at 6.35pm and 122k (0.5%) on +1.
Earlier in the day, viewers also took advantage of two extra chances to watch Emmerdale and Coronation Street's Christmas episodes on ITV2. Repeats of Emmerdale's festive special were seen by 157k (6.9%) at 7am and 462k (4.5%) at 11.25am, while Coronation Street's Christmas edition had 277k (6.0%) at 7.50am and 558k (4.7%) at 12.30pm.
