Coronation Street tops the Friday soap ratings

Coronation Street was Friday evening's top-rated soap (November 29) as Peter and Tina continued to play with fire, overnight figures show.

8.48m (40.4%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and 111k (0.5%) on +1 as Peter came close to kissing Tina on his stag night, while 7.86m (35.4%) returned at 8.30pm and 205k (0.9%) on +1 as Liz continued to warn Tina about her risky behaviour.

EastEnders attracted 6.86m (32.0%) at 8pm on BBC One as Sam left the Square following the revelation of his secret. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 399k (2.5%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale managed 6.67m (34.3%) at 7pm on ITV with Jai's lake accident, adding 109k (0.5%) on +1.

Hollyoaks pulled in 854k (4.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Frankie feared for her marriage following Ruby's attempts to expose the truth, while E4's first look had 629k (3.2%) at 7pm.

On Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 595k (9.1%) at 1.45pm and 833k (5.2%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away appealed to 251k (3.6%) at 1.15pm, 713k (4.1%) at 6pm and 474k (2.5%) with 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.24m (18.9%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
