EastEnders continues to perform well in the soap ratings

EastEnders was Thursday evening's top-rated soap (November 21) as another shocking secret about Jake and Sadie was revealed, overnight figures show.

The Albert Square drama pulled in 7.58m (35.1%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as viewers learned that Jake and Sadie once caused the tragic death of a child in a car accident. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 451k (3.0%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale attracted 7.07m (34.2%) at 7pm on ITV as Charity revealed her suspicions over Jai, Rachel and Archie, while 6.84m (29.8%) returned at 8pm and 199k (0.8%) on +1 to see the fallout as Jai and Rachel were forced to confess their secret.

Hollyoaks attracted 1.01m (5.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with the drama on Joe and Lindsey's wedding day, while E4's first look had 744k (3.6%) at 7pm and 191k (0.8%) on +1.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 582k (8.7%) at 1.45pm and 855k (5.3%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away entertained 290k (4.2%) at 1.15pm, 597k (3.3%) at 6pm and 530k (2.7%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors pulled in 1.37m (20.7%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
