EastEnders topped Tuesday evening's soap ratings (November 19) as the truth about Jake and Sadie was finally revealed, overnight figures show.
The Walford drama pulled in 7.49m (32.5%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Jake and Sadie were shown to be husband and wife in an unpublicised twist.
EastEnders held up well against ITV's pre-match coverage of the England vs. Germany game, and a further 502k (3.4%) watched the soap's BBC Three repeat screening at 10.30pm.
Elsewhere, Emmerdale attracted 7.08m (33.0%) at 7pm on ITV and 146k (0.6%) on +1 as Paddy took action to bring his full family unit back together.
Holby City appealed to 4.72m (19.0%) at 8pm on BBC One with Chrissie's final episode.
Hollyoaks slipped to 929k (4.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Darren tried to win back Nancy, but E4's first look continued to perform well with 738k (3.4%) at 7pm and 177k (0.7%) on +1.
On Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 671k (9.6%) at 1.45pm and 927k (5.5%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 293k (4.0%) at 1.15pm, 738k (3.9%) at 6pm and 461k (2.3%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors claimed 1.74m (25.0%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
