Coronation Street topped a strong evening for all of the soaps on Monday (November 4), overnight figures show.
9.25m (40.3%) tuned in at 7.30pm on ITV and 169k (0.7%) on +1 as Todd Grimshaw arrived back in Weatherfield, while 8.93m (36.1%) returned at 8.30pm and 229k (1.0%) on +1 as Todd was forced to confess his recent bad behaviour to Eileen.
EastEnders attracted its highest figure since April as 7.76m (32.0%) watched the dramatic aftermath of Michael Moon's murder at 8pm on BBC One. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 344k (2.4%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale interested 7.68m (35.5%) at 7pm on ITV as Jacob's rejection left Alicia distraught, adding 162k (0.7%) on +1.
Hollyoaks managed 1.07m (5.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 170k (0.7%) on +1 as Martha was given a clue to Will's guilt, while E4's first look had 610k (2.8%) at 7pm and 219k (0.9%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 643k (9.6%) at 1.45pm and 915k (5.6%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 211k (3.1%) at 1.15pm, 741k (3.9%) at 6pm and 562k (2.7%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.55m (23.2%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
