Coronation Street topped Monday evening's soap ratings (September 23) with more drama for the Price clan, overnight figures show.
8.72m (40.3%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and 158k (0.7%) on +1 as Stella learned of Jason and Eva's relationship. 8.67m (37.1%) returned at 8.30pm and 225k (1.0%) on +1 to see an emotional Stella vow to sell The Rovers.
Emmerdale pulled in 7.14m (36.1%) at 7pm on ITV as Chas, Bob and Brenda headed to see Cameron give his plea in court, adding 156k (0.7%) on +1.
EastEnders attracted 7.1m (31.5%) at 8pm on BBC One as Dexter was faced with a big decision over the transplant. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 398k (2.9%) at 10.30pm.
Hollyoaks shocked 952k (5.3%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 116k (0.5%) on +1 as Darren was revealed as Sandy's secret son. The bombshell then boosted E4's first look, which had 742k (3.7%) at 7pm and 116k (0.5%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours interested 646k (9.5%) at 1.45pm and 834k (6.1%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 257k (3.7%) at 1.15pm, 657k (4.0%) at 6pm and 425k (2.4%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.31m (19.7%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
