EastEnders' bonus hour-long episode was beaten in the ratings by its ITV rivals on Wednesday (September 11), overnight data reveals.
Ronnie Mitchell's reunion with Kat was seen by 6.62 million (29.9%) at 8pm on BBC One. The repeat gathered 592,000 (5.1%) at 10.30pm.
On ITV, Coronation Street came out on top as Jason and Dev discovered the truth about Karl, attracting 8.45m (41.0%) at 7.30pm (256k/1.1% on +1).
Emmerdale brought in 7.03m (37.2%) at 7pm (201k/0.9%) as Brenda found Gennie's dictaphone.
Channel 4's Hollyoaks appealed to 1.04m (6.0%) at 6.30pm, followed by E4's first-look at 7pm with 505k (2.7%).
Earlier, Channel 5's Home & Away interested 278k (4.0%) at 1.15pm and 517k (3.2%) at 6pm. 5*'s first-look was seen by 370k (2.1%) at 6.30pm.
Neighbours attracted 677k (10.1%) at 1.45pm and 754k (5.2%) at 5.30pm.
BBC One's Doctors was seen by 1.30pm (19.6%) at 1.45pm.
