Coronation Street tops Monday evening's soap ratings

Coronation Street topped Monday evening's (June 3) soap ratings with a Dev-centric double bill, overnight figures show.

8.22m (41.7%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and 189k (0.8%) on +1 as Dev hoped to clear Sunita's name over the Rovers fire, while 7.73m (34.5%) returned at 8.30pm and 350k (1.5%) on +1 to see killer Karl panic over Dev's behaviour.

EastEnders pulled in 6.59m (31.6%) at 8pm on BBC One as Ian made plans for his restaurant launch. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 380k (2.5%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale interested 6.35m (35.8%) at 7pm on ITV as Rhona's painkiller addiction storyline continued, adding 173k (0.8%) on +1.

Hollyoaks attracted 917k (5.7%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Sienna started a fire at The Dog, while E4's first look had 583k (3.3%) at 7pm and 106k (0.5%) on +1.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 593k (10.2%) at 1.45pm and 889k (7.2%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 188k (3.1%) at 1.15pm, 679k (4.6%) at 6pm and 446k (2.8%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.1m (18.9%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
