Coronation Street tops Wednesday evening's soap ratings

Coronation Street was Wednesday evening's (May 22) most-watched soap with more tension between Rob and Carla, overnight figures show.



The midweek visit to Weatherfield brought in 7.59m (39.1%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 204k (0.9%) on +1.

Emmerdale interested 6.37m (35.3%) at 7pm on ITV as a desperate Rhona begged Vanessa for drugs, adding 186k (0.9%) on +1.

Hollyoaks gripped 832k (4.9%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with the aftermath of the Price Slice shooting, while E4's first look had 585k (3.3%) at 7pm.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 698k (10.9%) at 1.45pm and 892k (6.7%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 249k (4.0%) at 1.15pm, 664k (4.2%) at 6pm and 482k (2.8%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.25m (19.7%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
