Emmerdale topped Tuesday evening's soap ratings (May 14) with the shock fire drama at Andy Sugden's home, overnight figures show.
6.8m (31.9%) watched from 7pm on ITV as an hour-long episode saw Kerry and baby Jack trapped in the burning cottage, adding 318k (1.5%) on +1.
EastEnders struggled due to its clash with Emmerdale, pulling in 5.03m (22.4%) at 7.30pm as Lola tried to prove that she was right about Sharon. However, BBC Three's repeat screening later saw a boost with 701k (4.9%) watching at 10.30pm.
Holby City interested 4.49m (20.5%) at 8pm on BBC One as Malick faced a dilemma.
Hollyoaks brought 1.09m (5.7%) to Channel 4 at 6.30pm with more fallout from Texas's death, while E4's first look had 620k (3.0%) at 7pm and 146k (0.7%) on +1.
On Channel 5, Steph Scully settling back in on Neighbours was seen by 682k (9.7%) at 1.45pm and 1.03m (6.8%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 232k (3.2%) at 1.15pm, 690k (4.0%) at 6pm and 494k (2.6%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors secured 1.67m (23.7%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
