'Emmerdale' tops Thursday soap ratings

Emmerdale topped Thursday evening's (May 2) soap ratings as killer Cameron was left in a panic, overnight figures show.

6 million (32.7%) watched from 6.45pm on ITV as an hour-long edition saw Cameron realise that Alex's body was in danger of being discovered, adding 243k (1.2%) on +1.

EastEnders, which clashed with Emmerdale for 15 minutes, brought in 5.5m (27.9%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Lola found Sharon unconscious. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 513k (3.5%) at 10.30pm.

Waterloo Road returned to screens with 3.58m (17.2%) at 8pm on BBC One as Harley took drugs at school.

Hollyoaks managed 699k (4.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Maxine collapsed at Chez Chez, while E4's first look had 495k (2.7%) at 7pm.

On Channel 5, Neighbours appealed to 620k (10.3%) at 1.45pm and 927k (7.3%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 273k (4.6%) at 1.15pm, 623k (4.2%) at 6pm and 442k (2.6%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.28m (21.6%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
