EastEnders was Tuesday evening's (April 23) most-watched soap, but dipped below the 7 million mark against ITV's football coverage, overnight figures show.
Airing against the Bayern Munich vs. Barcelona game on ITV, the Walford show pulled in 6.82m (33.2%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Liam and his family faced more problems with the gang. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 394k (2.8%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale attracted 6.69m (35.8%) at 7pm on ITV as Debbie came close to shooting Chas, adding 195k (0.9%) on +1.
Holby City interested 4.67m (20.6%) at 8pm on BBC One with Arthur-centric episode 'Second Life'.
Hollyoaks managed 700k (4.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as the Clare and Mercedes plot continued, while E4's first look had 633k (3.4%) at 7pm and 148k (0.7%) on +1.
On Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 672k (11.0%) at 1.45pm and 977k (7.3%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away was seen by 282k (4.5%) at 1.15pm, 642k (4.2%) at 6pm and 450k (2.7%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors mustered 1.33m (21.6%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
