EastEnders was Thursday evening's most-watched soap

EastEnders topped Thursday evening's (March 14) soap ratings but was dented by its 15-minute clash with Emmerdale, overnight figures show.

The latest visit to Walford, which saw Bianca find Liam with the gang, interested 6.36m (27.5%) at 7.30pm on BBC One. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 544k (3.6%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale's hour-long episode, focusing on Paddy and Rhona's marriage troubles, attracted 5.9m (27.3%) from 6.45pm on ITV, adding 263k (1.2%) on +1.

Hollyoaks pulled in 1.06m (5.3%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Brendan turned violent with Ste again, while E4's first look had 717k (3.3%) at 7pm and 196k (0.9%) on +1.

On Channel 5, Neighbours attracted 753k (10.4%) at 1.45pm and 982k (6.3%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 764k (4.2%) at 6pm and 456k (2.3%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.53m (21.1%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
