EastEnders comes out on top in Thursday evening soap ratings

EastEnders topped Thursday evening's (February 28) soap ratings with the continuing aftermath of Jack's attack on Phil, overnight figures show.

7.85m (35.3%) watched on BBC One at 7.30pm as Phil had to decide whether to press charges against Jack. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 519k (3.4%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale interested 6.94m (33.3%) at 7pm on ITV as Brenda zoned out while driving, while 6.44m (28.7%) returned at 8pm and 335k (1.5%) on +1 as Brenda was taken to hospital.

Waterloo Road appealed to 3.53m (15.8%) at 8pm on BBC One as Sian lost control and slapped bad boy Barry.

Hollyoaks mustered 830k (4.3%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with the fallout from Kevin's false allegation against Brendan, while E4's first look had 611k (2.9%) at 7pm.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 671k (10.1%) at 1.45pm and 852k (5.5%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 628k (3.4%) at 6pm and 524k (2.7%) at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.53m (22.9%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
