Coronation Street was Wednesday evening's (February 27) most-watched soap as Katy and Ryan's fling storyline kicked off, overnight figures show.
The Weatherfield serial attracted 8.16m (36.9%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 380k (1.7%) on +1 as Ryan and Katy shared a kiss at the kebab shop.
Emmerdale interested 6.76m (32.7%) at 7pm as Edna moved in with the Kings, adding 235k (1.1%) on +1.
Hollyoaks managed 881k (4.4%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Kevin falsely accused Brendan of sexual assault, while E4's first look had 586k (2.8%) at 7pm and 124k (0.6%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours entertained 740k (11.1%) at 1.45pm and 901k (5.9%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away appealed to 657k (3.6%) at 6pm and 453k (2.3%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.54m (23.0%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
