Coronation Street tops Monday evening's soap ratings

Coronation Street was above the 9 million mark for both episodes of its double bill on Monday evening (February 11), overnight figures show.

The Weatherfield soap grabbed 9.27m (38.5%) at 7.30pm on ITV and 202k (0.8%) on +1 as Tyrone's kidnap scheme continued, while 9.12m (35.3%) returned at 8.30pm and 278k (1.1%) on +1 to see the police catch up with the troubled mechanic thanks to Fiz.

EastEnders interested 7.73m (30.7%) at 8pm on BBC One as Liam brought the police to Bianca's door. BBC Three's repeat screening had 513k (3.3%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale pulled in 7.31m (32.7%) at 7pm on ITV as Declan and Andy clashed at The Woolpack, adding 169k (0.7%) on +1.

Hollyoaks appealed to 1.13m (5.3%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Carl shared his revenge plan with Mitzeee, while E4's first look mustered 666k (3.0%) at 7pm and 187k (0.7%) on +1.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours secured 707k (8.5%) at 1.45pm and 1.04m (6.1%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away brought in 755k (3.8%) at 6pm and 492k (2.3%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.71m (20.5%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
