Coronation Street hit the 7.6m mark as the soap's surrogacy storyline continued on Friday evening (September 14), overnight figures show.
The Weatherfield drama pulled in 7.6m (36.4%) at 7.30pm on ITV1 and 155k (0.7%) on +1 as Tina officially offered to carry Gary and Izzy's baby. Later, 7.26m (31.9%) watched Tommy oppose the idea at 8.30pm along with 255k (1.2%) on timeshift an hour later.
EastEnders, meanwhile, attracted 7.17m (32.4%) at 8pm on BBC One as Kat's affair confession left Alfie crushed. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 470k (3.0%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale entertained 6.09m (32.2%) at 7pm with Marlon and Paddy's big showdown, adding 138k (0.6%) on +1.
Hollyoaks managed 837k (4.7%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Mitzeee's mental wellbeing took a turn for the worse, while E4's first look brought in 435k (2.3%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 601k (8.9%) at 1.45pm and 807k (6.0%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 572k (3.5%) at 6pm and 429k (2.4%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.53m (22.5%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
