Coronation Street stayed on top of the Monday night soap ratings yesterday (September 10) as Izzy and Gary's surrogacy storyline continued, overnight figures show.
The Weatherfield drama pulled in 8.68m (39.3%) at 7.30pm on ITV1 and 190k (0.8%) on +1 as Izzy shocked everyone by calling off the arrangement with Katy. 8.53m (35.1%) returned at 8.30pm and 268k (1.1%) on timeshift to see the fallout for the Windasses and the Armstrongs.
EastEnders, meanwhile, attracted 7.45m (31.7%) at 8pm on BBC One as Janine's trust issues with Michael intensified. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 449k (2.9%) at 10.30pm.
Emmerdale interested 6.6m (32.9%) at 7pm as Carl became intrigued over Chas and Cameron's connection, adding 186k (0.8%) on +1.
Hollyoaks returned to Channel 4 with 874k (4.6%) at 6.30pm as Mercedes threatened Nancy's unborn baby, while drama at Mitzeee's sentencing brought 550k (2.7%) to E4's first look at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 559k (7.2%) at 1.45pm and 994k (6.8%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 734k (4.3%) at 6pm and 458k (2.4%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.34m (12.1%) at the rescheduled time of 4.45pm on BBC One.
