EastEnders was back above the 7m mark on Tuesday evening (September 4) with the latest dramas for Phil and Shirley, overnight figures show.
The Walford soap pulled in 7.18m (35.4%) at 7.30pm on BBC One as Phil saved Shirley from a frightening situation with a sleazy guy. Later, BBC Three's repeat screening secured 676k (4.6%) at 10.30pm.
Also on BBC One, Holby City entertained 4.58m (20.2%) at 8pm with an episode titled 'I'm Sticking With You'.
Emmerdale, meanwhile, attracted 5.77m (30.7%) at 7pm as the tension between Robbie and Katie at Home Farm continued.
Hollyoaks managed 425k (2.4%) at 6.30pm on its temporary home of E4 as Jack suffered a heart attack, while the aftermath of his health scare brought 590k (3.1%) to the usual first look screening at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 679k (9.6%) at 1.45pm and 971k (7.0%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 797k (4.9%) at 6pm and 424k (2.4%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.36m (19.3%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
