Emmerdale was above the 6m mark on Wednesday evening (August 29) as Paddy and Marlon's feud continued, overnight figures show.
The ITV1 soap pulled in 6.09m (31.7%) at 7pm as the battles over Leo turned even nastier, adding 241k (1.1%) on +1.
After Emmerdale, 3.51m (18.1%) watched a repeat of The Corrie Years on ITV1 at 7.30pm.
Hollyoaks, meanwhile, attracted 821k (4.5%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 143k (0.7%) on timeshift as Dodger found a clue to the identity of his real father. The next developments in the storyline brought 459k (2.4%) to E4's first look at 7pm and 208k (0.9%) to E4+1 an hour later.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 691k (8.2%) at 1.45pm and 906k (6.5%) at 5.30pm, while classic episodes of Home and Away on 5* interested 122k (0.7%) and 148k (0.8%) at 6pm and 6.30pm respectively.
Elsewhere, the latest edition of Doctors was seen by 1.35m (16.2%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
