Tuesday ratings: 'EastEnders' takes 8.2m with Tanya plot

EastEnders topped the soap ratings on Tuesday evening (March 13) as a big day for Tanya arrived, overnight figures show.

EastEnders pulled in 8.18m (36.5%) at 7.30pm as Tanya visited the hospital for the results of her MRI scan. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 725k (3.7%) at 10pm.

Also on BBC One, Holby City entertained 5.12m (21.8%) at 8pm with an episode centring around Sahira and Greg.

Emmerdale, meanwhile, attracted 6.9m (32.3%) at 7pm and 195k (0.8%) on +1 for the latest developments in the Ashley and Sandy storyline.

Hollyoaks grabbed 1.13m (5.7%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as George and Phoebe were finally rescued, while E4's first look had 571k (2.7%) at 7pm and 101k (0.4%) on timeshift.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours managed 691k (9.2%) at 1.45pm and 1m (6.2%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 802k (4.4%) at 6pm and 471k (2.4%) for 5*'s first look.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors - titled 'Cut Off, Part One' - was seen by 1.48m (19.8%) at 1.45pm.
