Coronation Street was well above the 9m mark on Monday evening (March 12) as the investigation into Frank Foster's death continued, overnight figures show.
Coronation Street pulled in 9.88m (41.8%) at 7.30pm and 189k (0.8%) on +1 as Carla faced tough questions from the police. 9.52m (38.1%) returned at 8.30pm and 201k (0.8%) on timeshift to see Peter take matters into his own hands.
EastEnders, meanwhile, attracted 8.11m (32.6%) at 8pm as Ian saw Ben's true colours. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 529k (2.8%) at 10pm.
Emmerdale appealed to 7.49m (34.5%) at 7pm as troubled Holly made contact with a drug dealer, with a further 118k (0.5%) watching on +1.
Hollyoaks grabbed 1.04m (5.2%) at 6.30pm and 103k (0.4%) on timeshift for the latest instalment of George's ordeal, while the first look airing interested 559k (2.6%) on E4 and 111k (0.4%) on E4+1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours managed 753k (10.6%) at 1.45pm and 912k (5.7%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 824k (4.4%) at 6pm and 532k (2.6%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors - titled 'Daddy Cool' - was seen by 1.61m (22.9%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
