Coronation Street topped the soap ratings on Thursday evening (March 8) with the aftermath of Frank Foster's death, overnight figures show.
Coronation Street pulled in 8.47m (33.1%) at 8.30pm and 265k (1.1%) on +1 as news of Frank's passing caused shockwaves on the cobbles.
EastEnders, meanwhile, attracted 7.82m (34.1%) at 7.30pm as Zainab's confession over Yusef's death stunned the Masoods. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 797k (4.0%) at 10pm.
Emmerdale interested 6.87m (32.0%) at 7pm as Debbie attended an important hospital appointment, while 7.05m (29.3%) tuned in at 8pm and 178k (0.7%) on timeshift to see Ed share big news with Aaron.
Hollyoaks grabbed 1.02m (5.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as the sixth formers searched for missing George, while E4's first look had 485k (2.3%) at 7pm and 140k (0.6%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours managed 713k (10.6%) at 1.45pm and 921k (5.9%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 748k (4.1%) at 6pm and 461k (2.3%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors - titled 'Anger Management' - was seen by 1.52m (22.8%) at 1.45pm.
