Friday's ratings: Helen Flanagan's Corrie exit draws 9.3m

Helen Flanagan's last Coronation Street episodes drew bumper audiences for ITV1 last night.

The first instalment in the double bill pulled in 9.28m (39.9%), with an extra 115k (0.5%) on timeshift. As Rosie Webster said goodbye at 8.30pm, 9.23m (37%) remained glued to their screens.

An additional 150k (0.6%) caught up with the drama an hour later. Earlier on ITV1, Emmerdale took 7.75m (35.3%) as Val headed off alone.

EastEnders drew 8.27m (34.4%), with viewers keen to hear the judge's decision, and 593k (2.9%) caught up at 10pm on BBC Three. The corporation's daytime soap Doctors pulled in 1.75m (21.1%).

An audience of 827k (4%) saw Nancy consider her future on Channel 4's Hollyoaks. The ever-popular first-look episode logged 506k (2.3%) at 7pm on E4.

The 1.45pm showing of Neighbours on Channel 5 nabbed 746k (8.9%), but it took its customary leap to 1.16m (6.7%) for the early evening repeat. Home and Away followed with 760k (3.9%).
