Coronation Street topped the soap ratings on Monday evening as Peter and Carla struggled to keep their affair under wraps, overnight figures show.
Coronation Street pulled in 9.41m (39.9%) at 7.30pm as Stella confronted Peter with her suspicions. The second episode of the double bill, which saw Peter defend himself to Stella, secured 9.21m (36.0%) at 8.30pm and 126k (0.5%) on timeshift.
EastEnders, meanwhile, attracted 8.99m (35.3%) at 8pm as Carol and David confessed their love for each other. BBC Three's repeat screening took 692k (3.5%) at 10pm.
Emmerdale appealed to 7.91m (35.4%) at 7pm as Cain faced a huge decision over Zak, while 111k (0.4%) watched on ITV1+1.
Hollyoaks managed 1.19m (5.6%) at 6.30pm and 136k (0.6%) on timeshift as the Bradys reacted to Declan's return, while E4's first look screening mustered 502k (2.2%).
Elsewhere, fresh troubles for Doctors' Daniel were seen by 1.7m (23.4%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
