'Emmerdale stayed well above the 7m mark on Wednesday evening as the Cain Dingle mystery storyline neared its climax, overnight figures show.
Emmerdale pulled in 7.62m (32.5%) at 7pm as Jai threatened Cain over the bad boy's accusation against him. 169k (0.7%) caught the episode an hour later on ITV1+1.
Hollyoaks, meanwhile, attracted 1.19m (5.3%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 128k (0.6%) on timeshift as a number of the local ladies spent time in a police cell.
Later, Hollyoaks' first look screening brought 541k (2.3%) to E4 at 7pm and 127k (0.5%) to E4+1.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors - titled 'To Have and To Hold' - entertained 1.91m (22.0%) on BBC One at 1.45pm.
