Wednesday night ratings: 'Emmerdale' Jai shock seen by 7.1m

Emmerdale was back above the 7m mark on Wednesday evening as the investigation into Cain's attack took its latest twists, overnight figures show.



Emmerdale pulled in 7.06m (30.7%) at 7pm as Jai was charged with the attempted murder of Cain. 334k (1.4%) caught the ITV1+1 screening an hour later.

Hollyoaks secured 990k (4.6%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 114k (0.5%) on +1 as Mercedes stopped Riley from seeing his son.

E4's first look screening of Hollyoaks managed 426k (1.9%) at 7pm and 114k (0.5%) on timeshift.
