EastEnders topped the soap ratings on Tuesday evening as Yusef was forced to confess his dark secret to Zainab, overnight figures show.
EastEnders pulled in 8.51m (36.8%) at 7.30pm as Yusef told Zainab that he started the fire which almost killed her many years ago. BBC Three's repeat screening added 947k (5.0%) at 10pm.
Also on BBC One, Holby City entertained 5.31m (22.5%) at 8pm as Hanssen invited Sahira away for a conference.
Emmerdale, meanwhile, attracted 7.49m (33.9%) at 7pm and 172k (0.7%) on +1 for an episode which saw Debbie disown her wayward father Cain.
Hollyoaks appealed to 1.09m (5.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 106k (0.5%) on timeshift, while E4's first look at events in Chester secured 652k (3.0%) at 7pm and 137k (0.6%) on +1.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours took 745k (10.1%) at 1.45pm and 1.23m (7.5%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 952k (5.0%) at 6pm and 538k (2.6%) for 5*'s first look.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors - titled 'Blind Spot' - managed 1.56m (21.2%) at lunchtime.
